Free Up Storage Space with the Built-in Cleanup Tool auf Android
Storage warnings on Android usually come from accumulated cache files, duplicate downloads, and app leftovers that build up over time without you noticing. The system tracks this through the storage manager, which groups reclaimable files so you do not have to search through folders app by app.
The Free up space tool works differently from clearing an individual app's cache. Instead of targeting one app, it scans the whole device and suggests categories such as temporary files, old downloads, and rarely used apps, letting you clear several sources in one pass.
To use it, go to Tap on Settings ➔ Tap on Storage ➔ Tap on Free up space ➔ Tap on Clean ➔ Tap on Clear. This removes the selected items immediately, so review the list before confirming if you are unsure about a category.
If a single app is the main space hog, clearing its cache directly in the app's own storage settings is often the faster fix and avoids touching unrelated files. Use Free up space when the problem is spread across many apps and downloads rather than one culprit.
