Turn Google Play Protect On or Off auf Android
Google Play Protect is the malware scanner built into every Android phone. It checks apps before installation, rescans them in the background afterward, and blocks or warns you when it detects behavior that matches known threats.
This is why an app you trust can suddenly get flagged: Play Protect compares app behavior against Google's threat database, not just the source you downloaded it from. If a legitimate app shares code patterns with malware, it gets blocked or you get a warning notification, even though nothing is actually wrong.
To change the setting, go to Settings ➔ Security & privacy ➔ App security ➔ Google Play Protect ➔ Settings, then enable or disable Scan apps with Play Protect.
Turning it off stops the background scanning and the related notifications immediately. It does not remove any app that was already blocked, and it does not affect Android's separate system security patches.
Leave Play Protect on if you regularly install apps from outside the Play Store, since that is exactly when the scanner catches the most threats. Turn it off only temporarily, for example while testing an app you built yourself or a tool that keeps getting misidentified.
