Turn On or Off Hearing Aid Compatibility auf Android
Hearing Aid Compatibility (HAC) reduces interference between a phone's audio output and telecoil-equipped hearing aids. When the setting does not match your hearing aid mode, calls can sound distorted or produce a background hum. This is a phone-level audio setting, not a Bluetooth pairing feature.
Not every Android device supports HAC. Compatibility depends on the phone's hardware certification, so if the option is missing from your Accessibility menu, your model likely does not support it. Checking the manufacturer's compatibility list before troubleshooting further saves time.
Where to find the setting
Open Phone ➔ Open the Menu ➔ Tap on Settings ➔ Tap on Accessibility ➔ Enable or disable Hearing aids. Toggling this switch changes how the phone routes audio during calls when a compatible hearing aid is active.
If calls still sound off after enabling HAC, check your hearing aid's own telecoil or streaming mode, since both sides need to be aligned. Turning HAC off again is useful if you switch to a hearing aid without a telecoil, since the setting can otherwise introduce unnecessary audio processing.
