Show or Hide the Gboard Number Row auf Android
By default, Gboard saves space by folding numbers into the letter keys. You get a digit only after a long press on the corresponding letter, which is fine for occasional use but slows you down with phone numbers, verification codes or addresses.
The fix is a setting inside Gboard itself, not a system-wide keyboard option. It adds a fixed row of digits above the regular letters, so every number becomes a single tap again.
To turn it on or off:
Tap on Settings ➔ Tap on System ➔ Tap on Keyboard ➔ Tap on On-screen keyboard ➔ Tap on Gboard ➔ Tap on Preferences ➔ Enable or disable Number row
Once enabled, the extra row takes up a bit of vertical screen space, which matters on smaller displays or in apps with compact input fields. If that trade-off feels too cramped, disabling the number row again restores the original long-press behavior without affecting any other keyboard settings.
This setting lives inside Gboard, so switching to a different keyboard app removes the number row regardless of this toggle.
