Turn On or Off the Screen Saver auf Android
The screen saver on Android activates automatically once your phone is docked, charging, or sitting idle on a desk. It replaces the plain sleep screen with a clock, shifting colors, a single photo, or a photo table built from images stored on your device.
This behavior comes from a dedicated display function, not from the lock screen itself. If the screen saver appears without warning, or you cannot find where to switch it off, the setting is usually just one level deeper than most people check.
Where to find the toggle
Go to Settings ➔ Display ➔ Screen saver. From there, enable or disable Use Screen saver to switch the entire feature on or off.
Inside the same menu you also choose which style runs: a clock, colors, a single photo, or a rotating photo frame pulling from your gallery. If you only want to change the style instead of turning the feature off entirely, adjust the selection here rather than disabling it.
Turning off the screen saver does not affect your lock screen wallpaper or auto-lock timing, since those live under separate Display and Lock screen settings. If your battery drains faster while charging, check whether an active photo frame is the cause before assuming a hardware issue.
