Send a Photo or Video via Bluetooth auf Android
Bluetooth file transfer relies on an active pairing between two devices, not just an enabled Bluetooth toggle. If the receiving phone was never paired before, it will not appear as a target when you try to send a photo or video, even though Bluetooth itself is turned on.
To send a file, open the gallery and follow this path: Tap on Photos ➔ Select a Photo ➔ Tap on Share ➔ Tap on Bluetooth ➔ Select a Bluetooth device. The share sheet lists Bluetooth alongside messaging apps and cloud services, so it can take a moment to spot it, especially on phones with many installed apps.
Once you tap the paired device, the file starts sending automatically and the other phone usually needs to accept an incoming transfer prompt. Large videos take noticeably longer than photos, since Bluetooth transfer speeds are much lower than Wi-Fi Direct or a cable connection.
This method works for more than photos and videos. PDFs, contacts, and text documents can be shared the same way, as long as the source app offers a Share option that lists Bluetooth.
If the connection keeps failing, a Wi-Fi based share method or a temporary re-pairing of both devices usually resolves it faster than repeating the same Bluetooth attempt.
