Turn On TalkBack (Accessibility) auf Android
TalkBack is Android's built-in screen reader. It reads out labels, buttons and text as you move your finger across the screen, so the phone can be used without looking at the display.
Turning it on changes basic touch behavior. A single tap selects an item and speaks its name instead of opening it, and a double tap is required to actually activate that item. Swiping left or right moves between selectable elements one at a time. This is normal and expected once the feature is running.
How to turn on TalkBack
Open Settings ➔ Accessibility ➔ TalkBack, then turn on Use TalkBack and confirm the permission by tapping Allow.
If the phone suddenly reacts differently after someone else used it, check this same menu first - TalkBack may have been switched on by accident. Turning it off restores normal single-tap behavior immediately.
For users who only need occasional voice guidance rather than a full screen reader, a lighter option like Select to Speak may be a better fit and causes fewer changes to everyday gestures.
