Colour Inversion auf Huawei
Colour inversion swaps every colour value on the display. A white background with black text becomes a black background with white text, and this applies system-wide, not just to one app.
The feature lives inside Accessibility on EMUI and is meant to help with light sensitivity or reading comfort in dark environments. Once active, it also touches media playback, so photos and videos can look unnatural with shifted or reversed tones.
To turn it on or off, follow this path: Open the settings ➔ Tap on Accessibility features ➔ Tap on Accessibility ➔ Activate or deactivate Colour inversion.
If your goal is just a darker interface rather than fully swapped colours, a dark theme is usually the better fit. Colour inversion is a blunt tool: it flips everything, including icons, wallpapers and camera previews, which is why it can look broken rather than helpful for daily use.
Switching it back off restores normal colours immediately, without a restart. If colours still look off afterwards, check whether a separate colour filter or eye comfort mode is also active in the same Accessibility section.
