Connect to a Wi-Fi Network
Your OnePlus phone only auto-connects to the Wi-Fi network you set up on day one. Moving to a new home, joining an office network or logging into a guest hotspot means finding and adding that network yourself, and a mistyped password is the most common reason the attempt fails.
Turn On Wi-Fi Automatically
If your OnePlus keeps ignoring a known Wi-Fi network after you leave Bluetooth or mobile data active, the automatic Wi-Fi feature might be switched off. This function is supposed to re-enable Wi-Fi on its own once you are back in range of a saved network with a strong signal. Pair a Bluetooth Device

Add a New Tab in Chrome

Copy Text from an SMS Message

Enable Face Unlock

Enable or Disable Hearing Aid Compatibility (HAC)
If your hearing aids pick up static, buzzing or a faint hum during calls on your OnePlus phone, the built-in audio output might not be tuned for hearing aid compatibility. Turn Adaptive Battery On or Off
If notifications from apps you rarely open arrive late or a background app gets killed before it can sync, Adaptive Battery is usually the reason. The feature learns which apps you use often and throttles background access for the rest, even when you still need timely updates from them on your OnePlus phone.
Set Up Private DNS
Every website you open on your OnePlus phone starts with a DNS lookup, and by default that request travels unencrypted across your network. Anyone sharing your Wi-Fi or your mobile carrier can see, log, or even redirect which domains you visit. Private DNS closes that gap by routing the entire lookup through an encrypted connection.
Turn Call Vibration On or Off
If your OnePlus phone buzzes every time someone calls even though you only want the ringtone, or the vibration stays off in a quiet room where you actually need it, the culprit is a separate vibration setting tied to Phone ringtone and vibration. Ringtone volume and vibration are controlled independently on OxygenOS, so muting one does not affect the other.
Enable or Disable TTY Mode
If a hearing or speech aid device cannot connect to calls on your OnePlus, TTY mode is probably switched off in the Phone app. Without it, the phone cannot convert voice to text or text to voice during a call, which makes standard calling unusable for TTY users. The setting sits in the accessibility options of the Phone app and is off by default.
Block Pop-ups and Redirects in Chrome
If tapping a link on your OnePlus phone keeps throwing you into random app stores or shady offer pages, Chrome's pop-up and redirect protection is probably turned off or has an exception saved for that site. This usually happens after accidentally tapping 'Allow' on a permission prompt or landing on a page with an ad-heavy redirect chain. Blocking these interruptions again only takes one setting inside Chrome's site permissions.
Forget a Wi-Fi Network on OnePlus
If a OnePlus phone keeps connecting to a Wi-Fi network with no internet or repeatedly drops the connection, the stored network profile is often the cause. An outdated password or a corrupted saved entry can block a fresh connection attempt. Removing the saved network forces the phone to treat it as new the next time you connect.
Enable Repeat Callers in Do Not Disturb Mode
If Do Not Disturb on your OnePlus phone stays silent even when someone calls back within minutes, the repeat callers option is likely switched off. This setting works independently from your allowed contacts or favourites list and only tracks how often the same number calls in a short window. Without it enabled, urgent follow-up calls get muted along with everything else.
Delete a Single Call History Entry
If you only want one call gone from your OnePlus call log, clearing the entire history is overkill and removes numbers you still need. A spam call, an accidental dial, or an old missed call can be removed on its own instead of wiping the whole list.
Add Contact to Favourites
Calling the same person over and over means scrolling through your whole contact list every time on your OnePlus phone. Marking that contact as a favourite pins it to the top of the Contacts app, so you skip the search entirely. It is a quick fix if you keep hunting for the same few names.
