OnePlus: Turn Color Inversion On or Off

Color inversion is an accessibility feature built into Android and used by OnePlus in OxygenOS. It swaps light and dark values across the entire screen, not just for a single app or setting.

You will usually notice it after a photo suddenly looks like a negative, white backgrounds turn black, or text becomes unreadable in odd colors. This happens because the feature affects every layer of the display output, including the camera app, gallery and browser.

To enable or disable it, open Open the Settings ➔ Tap on System ➔ Tap on Accessibility ➔ Enable or disable Color inversion. Toggling the option applies the change immediately across the whole system.

If you only want darker menus and apps without flipping colors like a negative, use the standard Dark mode instead. Dark mode changes the app design itself, while Color inversion mathematically reverses every pixel on screen, including media you view or capture.

Keep in mind that Color inversion can make some colors, especially in photos and videos, look unnatural or hard to interpret correctly. It is meant as a temporary or accessibility aid, not a permanent display style.
