Delete an Album in Gallery auf OnePlus
On OnePlus phones running OxygenOS, albums and collections in the Gallery app are not just folders that group existing photos. Deleting one removes the album entry and every file stored inside it at the same time.
This matters if you moved originals into a collection instead of just adding shortcuts. Once the album is gone, the photos and videos inside are gone too, unless they are backed up elsewhere or still exist in the main camera roll.
How to delete an album
Open the Gallery app and go to Collections. Find the album you want to remove, then tap and hold it until selection options appear.
Tap Delete, then confirm the action by tapping Delete again in the confirmation prompt. The album and its contents are removed from the device.
If you only want to keep the album name but empty it, move the files out first instead of deleting the whole collection. Check whether the photos are synced to a cloud backup or still present in the main gallery view before you confirm deletion, especially for albums that hold originals rather than copies.
