Force Full-Screen Mode for Non-Optimized Apps
If an app still shows the status bar and navigation bar on Oppo phones, the system has not marked it as full-screen optimized. This happens with older or less common apps that ColorOS does not automatically stretch to the edges. You can force full-screen display manually, but only if the app itself supports it.

Getting it wrong either way means either constant interruptions or a launcher that keeps popping up when you do not need it.
Turn Split Screen On or Off
If a three-finger swipe up does nothing on your Oppo phone, split screen mode might be switched off in the background. ColorOS ships with the feature active out of the box, but the gesture only works while split screen itself stays enabled in the settings.
Force Stop an App
When an app on your Oppo phone freezes and stops reacting to taps, swiping it away in the recent-apps view often just hides it while the process keeps running. If one app keeps eating up your whole day, Oppo's Digital Wellbeing tools let you cap it with a daily timer. Once the time runs out, Coloros force-closes the app and keeps it locked until midnight. Each app gets its own separate limit, so you can restrict social media while leaving work apps untouched.
App Animation Speed
If apps on your Oppo phone take a moment too long to open or the closing animation feels sluggish, the app animation speed is probably set slower than you like. This Coloros setting controls how quickly the transition plays when you launch or close an app, separate from actual app loading time.
Add Apps and Games to Game Space
If a game or app does not launch inside Game Space on your Oppo phone, it usually has not been added to the managed list yet. Without that step, the app starts as a normal application and misses out on performance tweaks, do-not-disturb, and other Game Space functions.
Change Default Messaging App
If Messenger or another chat app keeps hijacking your text messages, Coloros still only lets one app act as the default SMS handler at a time. Several installed apps can request that role, which is why replies to notifications sometimes open the wrong client. Turn Automatic App Updates On or Off
If your Oppo phone keeps downloading app updates over mobile data or storage fills up without warning, the Play Store's auto-update setting is likely active in the background. Depending on your preference, updates can be limited to WLAN, allowed over any connection, or switched off completely. Checking this setting also helps when apps update at random times without asking for confirmation first.
Uninstall an App via Settings
Long-pressing an app icon on your Oppo home screen and tapping Uninstall does not always work, especially if the shortcut sits inside a folder or has been removed from the home screen entirely.
