Adaptive Battery: Enable or Disable auf Oppo
Smart Power Saver is the adaptive battery function built into ColorOS on Android. It tracks how often you open each app and how much you actually use it, then puts rarely used apps into a stricter power-saving state. That state limits background refresh, delays push notifications, and can pause background location or sync until you open the app again.
This behavior explains why a chat app might notify you late, or why a fitness tracker misses a few minutes of activity right after you stop using it for a while. The feature is enabled by default because it noticeably extends battery life between charges, especially on phones running many apps at once.
Where to find the toggle
The setting sits inside the battery menu, not in a separate adaptive battery section. Follow this path:
Open the Settings ➔ Tap on Battery ➔ Enable or Disable Smart Power Saver
Turning it off removes the background restrictions for all apps immediately, so notifications and syncing behave the same as with the screen on. Turning it back on restores the learning behavior after a short adjustment period. If only one app misbehaves, check that app's own battery permission first before disabling the whole feature.
