Add New Apps Automatically to the Home Screen auf Oppo
New apps installed on an Oppo phone usually place an icon on the home screen right away. If a freshly installed app is missing there, the App Drawer layout is almost always the reason.
ColorOS offers two home screen layouts. In standard mode every app sits directly on a home screen page. In App Drawer mode apps live in a separate drawer, and only shortcuts you place there manually appear on the home screen. The toggle that controls automatic placement only shows up once App Drawer mode is active.
Turn automatic placement on or off
Open Settings ➔ Home screen, Lock screen & Always-On-Display ➔ then enable or disable Add apps to Home screen.
Turn it on and every app you install afterward gets a shortcut on the home screen in addition to its entry in the App Drawer. Turn it off and new apps stay in the App Drawer only, which keeps your home screen pages free of clutter.
If you are using the standard home screen mode, this toggle will not appear at all, because every app already lives on the home screen by design in that layout.
