Add a Keyboard Language on Gboard auf Oppo
Gboard on Oppo phones starts with a single active language, matching your phone's system language. Typing in a second language then means missing letters, wrong autocorrect suggestions, or no matching keyboard layout at all.
Adding a language to Gboard solves this without touching your system language. Once a second language is set, a small language switch icon appears on the keyboard, letting you jump between input languages during typing. Each added language can also use its own layout, useful if a language typically pairs with a QWERTY, QWERTZ, or AZERTY arrangement.
Menu path to add a keyboard language
Open Settings ➔ Additional settings ➔ Keyboard & input method ➔ Gboard ➔ Languages ➔ Add keyboard. Pick the language you need from the list, choose a layout if prompted, then confirm with Done.
If you regularly write in three or more languages, repeat the same path for each one. Gboard keeps every added language available in the switch menu, so you never lose access to a layout once it is set up.
