Oppo: Add Contacts to an Existing Group

Creating a contact group on your Oppo phone does not lock the member list. If you forgot someone or need to add a person later, the group only updates once you open it again and confirm the new members through the add-contacts screen. Skipping that confirmation step leaves the group unchanged even though it looked like the contact was added.

Add Members to a Contact Group auf Oppo

On Oppo phones running Coloros, a contact group is not fixed once it is created. You can open any existing group and add more people to it at any time, as long as they are already saved in your phone contacts.

The relevant function sits inside the Contacts app itself, not in a separate group manager. To add someone, go to Tap on ContactsOpen the MenuChoose a GroupTap on Add contacts. From there, Tap and hold a Contact to select them, and repeat with If desired, select other Contacts for multiple additions. The group only updates after you finish with Tap on Save.

If you skip the save step, none of your selections are applied, and the group looks exactly like before. This is the most common reason a newly added member seems missing.

This method only works for contacts that already exist in your phone. If the person is not saved yet, add them as a regular contact first, then repeat the steps above to place them in the group.

Frequently asked questions

Yes. Adding a contact to a group through Tap on Add contacts does not remove them from any other group they are already part of.
