Oppo: Change Smart Sidebar Opacity

When the Smart Sidebar floating bar sits fully opaque on the edge of your screen, it can cover subtitles, icons, or app content behind it. On Coloros, the handle transparency is adjustable, so you can make it blend in during games or video playback instead of standing out. Left at the default level, many users find the handle too bold for everyday use.

Adjust Smart Sidebar Opacity auf Oppo

The Smart Sidebar handle on Oppo phones sits at the edge of the screen and defaults to a solid opacity level. In fullscreen games, video apps, or split-screen layouts, that solid bar can cover icons, subtitles, or interface elements underneath it.

Coloros lets you lower or raise this opacity so the handle blends into the background instead of standing out. The control lives inside the sidebar tools rather than the general display settings, which is why many people overlook it.

To change it, go to Tap on SettingsTap on Convenience toolsTap on Smart SidebarSet the Floating bar opacity. Drag the slider until the handle reaches a transparency level that still stays visible but no longer blocks content behind it.

This adjustment only changes the visual opacity of the handle. It does not affect which apps appear inside the sidebar, nor does it change how sensitive the edge gesture is for opening the panel. If the handle becomes hard to find after lowering opacity too far, raise the slider back up until you can tap it reliably.
