Oppo: Change the Alarm Sound

If your alarm still plays the same default tone every morning on your Oppo phone, you probably have not touched the Ringtone option inside the Clock app yet. Many users also expect the smart alarm tone to adjust automatically, but that only works once it is switched on separately. Without editing the sound assigned to each alarm, ColorOS keeps reusing the same melody for every wake-up time.

Change Alarm Sound auf Oppo

When an alarm on your Oppo phone always plays the same tone, the reason is usually simple: each alarm carries its own sound setting, separate from your general notification or ringtone volume. Coloros stores this preference inside the alarm entry itself, so changing your phone's default ringtone in the general sound settings has no effect on alarms you already created.

To change it, open Tap on ClockChoose an AlarmTap on Ringtone. From there you can either Tap on Select from files to use a personal audio file, or pick one of the system tones. Confirm your choice with Tap on BackTap on Save to apply it to that specific alarm.

This setting only affects the alarm you edited. If you have several alarms, repeat the steps for each one, since Coloros does not apply one sound to all alarms automatically.

If your alarm plays no sound at all instead of the wrong one, check your media or alarm volume slider first, since a muted volume looks identical to a missing ringtone. The smart alarm tone feature, which gradually adjusts volume and sound to your surroundings, only works once it is enabled separately and is not the same as picking a fixed ringtone.

Frequently asked questions

Each alarm stores its own sound under Tap on Ringtone inside that alarm entry. The general ringtone setting in your sound menu only applies to calls and notifications, not alarms already saved.
