Archive a Conversation in Messages auf Oppo
A cluttered Messages home screen usually comes from conversations you rarely open but still want to keep. Deleting removes the whole thread permanently, which is risky if you need to check something later. Archiving is the safer middle ground on Oppo phones running Coloros.
Archived conversations disappear from the main inbox but stay stored with all their content intact. Nothing gets deleted, and you can pull a conversation back into the main list whenever you need it again.
To archive a chat: Tap on Messages ➔ Tap and hold a Conversation ➔ Tap on Archive.
This works best for conversations you check occasionally, like order confirmations or old group chats. If a conversation is spam or you are certain you will never need it again, deleting it directly saves storage instead of just hiding it. Archiving does not stop new messages from arriving in that thread, so an active conversation may reappear in your notifications even after being archived.
