Turn Auto-capitalization On or Off auf Oppo
Gboard's Auto-capitalization setting watches for full stops, question marks and line breaks, then capitalizes the next letter you type. On Oppo phones this sits inside the keyboard's text correction tools and runs independently from autocorrect or predictive text.
It helps with quick messaging but causes trouble when you write lowercase usernames, code snippets, hashtags or abbreviations that should stay untouched. Chat apps and note-taking tools are the most common places users notice the setting fighting their input.
To change it, go to Tap on Settings ➔ Tap on Additional settings ➔ Tap on Keyboard & input method ➔ Tap on Gboard ➔ Tap on Text correction ➔ Enable or disable Auto-capitalization.
Switching it off leaves capitalization entirely up to you, so every sentence start needs a manual shift tap. If you only want fewer unwanted capitals rather than none at all, check autocorrect and personal dictionary entries first, since those can override this setting for specific words.
