Oppo: Change Home Screen Wallpaper

Tapping and holding the home screen only pulls up a handful of preset wallpapers on Coloros, so live wallpapers and your own photos are easy to miss. This happens because the quick wallpaper shortcut hides the full Wallpapers settings section, leaving many users thinking custom or animated backgrounds are not supported at all.

Change Home Screen Wallpaper auf Oppo

On Oppo phones running Coloros, holding down on the home screen opens a shortcut menu with only a few built-in wallpaper presets. This shortcut skips the full wallpaper library, which is why photos, animated wallpapers and additional themes seem to be missing.

The complete set of options lives in the system settings instead. Open SettingsPersonalizationsWallpapers to reach every category, including static presets, live wallpapers and your own gallery photos.

To use a personal photo, tap Photos and select the image you want. Coloros then shows a crop and preview screen where you can adjust framing before confirming.

Tap Apply once you are happy with the preview. On the next screen choose Home screen if you only want to update the home screen and keep a different wallpaper on the lock screen.

Use the quick home screen shortcut only when you want to switch between wallpapers you already applied before. For anything new, including live wallpapers or gallery photos, the Wallpapers settings page is the reliable path.

Frequently asked questions

The long-press shortcut only lists wallpapers you already used or a few defaults. Animated options are under SettingsPersonalizationsWallpapers, usually in a separate Live tab.
