Block Offensive Words in Gboard Suggestions auf Oppo
Gboard on Oppo phones filters out profanity and vulgar terms from its word suggestions by default. This is controlled by a single setting called Block offensive words, part of the keyboard's text correction options.
When enabled, Gboard suppresses explicit or crude words from autocomplete and suggestion strips, even if you type them correctly. Some people rely on slang or informal language in messaging apps and find this filter too restrictive, so Oppo lets you turn it off.
To change it, go to Settings ➔ Additional settings ➔ Keyboard & input method ➔ Gboard ➔ Text correction, then toggle Block offensive words on or off.
Turning the filter off does not disable autocorrect or spell check for regular words. It only affects whether explicit terms appear as suggestions. If you share a device with children or use it for work, keeping the filter enabled avoids accidental suggestions of inappropriate language.
