Switch Between Navigation Buttons and Gestures auf Oppo
ColorOS controls how you move around the interface through a single setting that swaps the entire navigation method. By default many Oppo phones ship with virtual buttons: a back arrow, a home circle and a recent-apps square docked at the bottom edge.
Gesture navigation replaces those buttons with swipes from the screen edges or upward from the bottom. This frees up display space and feels closer to a full-screen experience, but it takes some habit if you are used to tapping a fixed button.
Accidental edge swipes while gaming or reading, or the opposite problem of buttons feeling clunky and outdated, are the main reasons people switch modes. The setting itself does not affect app behavior or performance, only how you trigger back, home and recent-apps actions.
To change it, go to Settings ➔ Convenience tools ➔ Navigation. There you choose between Swipe gestures from both sides and Virtual buttons.
If gestures feel too sensitive near the edges after switching, check whether ColorOS offers an adjustable gesture sensitivity option on the same screen before reverting to virtual buttons.
