Check for Software Updates Manually auf Oppo
ColorOS checks for firmware in the background on a fixed schedule, not continuously. That delay means a released update can exist for hours or even days before your phone notifies you. Running the check manually skips that wait and gives you an immediate answer.
To check now, go to Settings ➔ Software update. The screen shows your current version and starts searching automatically. If a new build is available, you get details on size and changes before downloading.
A manual check is the right move when you expect a specific patch, for example after a known security fix or a bug you're trying to resolve. If the screen keeps showing that your system is up to date but you suspect otherwise, the update may still be in a staged rollout for your region or device batch, and no local setting will change that.
Downloading a firmware update over mobile data can use a large amount of your monthly allowance, and installation briefly restarts the phone. Connecting to Wi-Fi and having enough battery or a charger nearby avoids interruptions during the process.
