Oppo: Choose Which Contacts Appear in Your Contacts List

If your Oppo phone is signed into several accounts, the Contacts app can turn into a long, mixed list of numbers you never call. Every synced account adds its contacts by default, so work emails, old SIM imports, or a rarely used Google account can bury the people you actually text. Coloros lets you pick exactly which sources show up in that list.

Customize Displayed Contacts by Account auf Oppo

By default, the Contacts app on an Oppo phone pulls in every account you have signed in, including SIM cards, Google, and any work or messaging accounts synced to the device. The more accounts you add, the harder it gets to find the contact you actually need.

Coloros includes a filter that lets you pick which account categories should show up in the contact list. This does not delete or unsync any account, it only hides the entries from view inside the app.

Steps to filter displayed contacts

Open the Contacts app and go to Tap on ContactsOpen the MenuTap on Customize viewTap on CustomizeSelect the desired Categories and tap Save.

Uncheck any account you do not want to see, then confirm your choice. The list refreshes immediately and only shows contacts from the categories you kept active.

This setting is useful if you manage a personal and a work account on the same phone, or if an old SIM import keeps adding numbers you no longer need visible. If you want to remove contacts permanently instead of just hiding them, use the delete or unsync options for that specific account instead.

Frequently asked questions

No. The filter only changes what appears inside the Contacts app list. Calls and Messages still resolve numbers from every synced account, so caller names keep showing up even if that account is hidden from the contact list.
