Copy Text From an SMS Message auf Oppo
On Oppo phones running ColorOS, the Messages app treats a short tap as an instruction to open a conversation or place the cursor in the reply field. Copying only works when you trigger the selection menu with a longer press on the message bubble.
To copy a message, open Messages, then Choose a Conversation. Press and hold the specific message you need, which is the step labeled Tap and hold a Message. A small toolbar appears above or below the bubble. Tap Copy to place the full text on the clipboard.
This action copies the entire message body, not just a highlighted word. If you only need part of the text, drag the selection handles that appear after the long press before tapping Copy.
If no toolbar shows up, the press was likely too short or moved slightly, which the system reads as a scroll gesture instead of a hold. Releasing your finger without lifting it in place cancels the selection.
Use Copy when you plan to paste the text into another app, such as a notes app or a form field. If you want to send the same message content to someone else instead, use the Share option in the same toolbar rather than copying and manually resending it.
