Set Default Home Launcher auf Oppo
ColorOS ships with its own home screen app and treats it as the default launcher for every app drawer, gesture and widget interaction. Installing a third-party launcher from the Play Store does not automatically replace this default, so the phone keeps loading the built-in interface after every reboot.
To hand control over to the new launcher, you have to change the default app assignment in the system settings. The verified path is Tap on Settings ➔ Tap on App management ➔ Tap on Default apps ➔ Tap on Home app ➔ Set the Default home app. Selecting the alternative launcher here immediately applies its layout, icon style and gesture behavior to the home screen.
If the new launcher still does not load after this change, a leftover cache from the previous launcher can be the cause. Clearing its app cache or reinstalling it usually resolves that. If you only want to test a launcher briefly without losing your current setup, keep the ColorOS launcher installed so you can switch back through the same menu at any time.
