Oppo: Turn Dial Pad Tone On or Off

On many Oppo phones the keypad stays completely silent when you tap numbers to dial a call. That is the default behavior in ColorOS, not a hardware fault or a muted ringer. If you want audible feedback while dialing, the option sits inside the sound settings and is switched off until you turn it on yourself.

Turn Dial Pad Tone On or Off auf Oppo

On Oppo phones running ColorOS, the dial pad stays silent by default when you tap digits to place a call. This is a system sound setting, not a bug and not related to muted media volume.

The option lives inside the general sound and haptics menu, separate from ringtone or notification volume. Turning it on adds a short tone for every digit you tap on the dial screen, which some people use to confirm each press without looking at the display.

To enable or disable it, go to Tap on SettingsTap on Sound & vibrationTap on More sounds & hapticsEnable or disable Dial pad tone.

If the toggle is already on but you still hear nothing, check that media or system volume is not muted, since dial pad tone follows the general volume level. If your phone is silent everywhere, look at ring volume and Do Not Disturb settings instead of this option.

Frequently asked questions

No. The Dial pad tone toggle only affects the sound played when you tap digits on the dial screen. Notification and ringtone sounds are controlled separately under Sound & vibration.
