Turn Emergency Alerts On or Off auf Oppo
Wireless emergency alerts on Oppo phones running ColorOS are cell broadcast (CB) messages your carrier sends automatically when a serious threat is detected nearby. They cover extreme weather, public safety warnings, and similar alerts, and ColorOS turns them on by default so you never miss one.
These alerts bypass Do Not Disturb and mute settings, since carriers flag them as high priority. That is useful during an actual emergency, but it also means the loud siren-style tone can trigger at night or during meetings if you have not adjusted anything.
If the alerts feel disruptive rather than helpful, you can disable them from the security settings without affecting normal notifications or your carrier's regular texts.
How to change the setting
Open Settings ➔ Security ➔ Wireless emergency alerts ➔ enable or disable Allow alerts.
Turning this off removes only the CB warning system, not standard SMS. Keep it enabled if you live in an area prone to severe weather or if you rely on public safety notifications for travel decisions.
