Empty the Gallery Recycle Bin auf Oppo
On Oppo phones running Coloros, deleting a photo or video from the Gallery does not erase it right away. The file moves into a hidden trash folder called Recently deleted, where it stays for 30 days before the system removes it on its own.
This behavior comes from the Gallery app itself, not from Android storage settings, and there is currently no toggle to turn the recycle bin off. That means every deleted photo continues to occupy space on your device until either the 30 days pass or you clear the trash by hand.
How to permanently delete the files
Open Tap on Photos ➔ Tap on Albums ➔ Tap on Recently deleted. From there, open Open the Menu ➔ Tap on Select to enter selection mode.
Tap Tap on Delete all to mark every item in the trash, then confirm with Tap on Permanently delete items. This action cannot be undone, so double-check you do not need any of the files before confirming.
If you only want to keep storage low without losing everything, you can select individual photos instead of using Delete all, and remove just the ones you are sure about.
