Turn SIM Card Lock On or Off auf Oppo
The SIM card lock is a separate security layer from your phone's screen lock. It lives inside Android's SIM management and works independently of ColorOS features like fingerprint or face unlock.
When active, the SIM asks for its PIN every time you restart the phone or move the card into another device. This protects your number and data plan if the physical SIM is stolen, but it also means you cannot skip the PIN screen even with biometric unlock turned on.
To change the setting, open Settings ➔ Security ➔ SIM card lock. On dual SIM phones, pick the SIM slot first. Then enable or disable Lock SIM card and confirm with your current PIN by tapping Save.
Leave the lock disabled if you swap SIMs between devices often or share the phone with family members who forget PINs easily. Keep it enabled if the phone leaves the house regularly, since it blocks calls and mobile data on any device the SIM ends up in.
Entering the wrong PIN too many times locks the SIM completely and then requires the PUK code from your carrier to unlock it again.
