Turn Find My Device On or Off auf Oppo
Find My Device relies on location services and an active Google account link to report your Oppo phone's position, lock it, or trigger a remote wipe. On ColorOS this toggle lives inside the Security settings rather than a standalone app, which is why many users assume it is missing entirely.
If the feature is switched off, none of these remote actions work, even if you know the exact model and account tied to the device. Battery savers and aggressive background app management can also interrupt the location reporting, so the toggle being on is not always enough on its own.
Menu path to enable or disable it
Open Tap on Settings ➔ Tap on Security ➔ Tap on Find My Device ➔ Enable or disable Find My Device. The screen shows the current status directly, so you can confirm it is active without leaving the menu.
Leave the setting on by default. Only disable it temporarily for specific privacy reasons, and switch it back on right after, since a phone left unprotected even for a short period cannot be traced if it disappears during that window.
