Unlock Private Safe with Fingerprint auf Oppo
Private Safe on Oppo phones keeps selected photos, videos, files and apps behind a separate lock screen, apart from your regular phone password. By default, opening it still needs the password, pattern or PIN you chose when the safe was first set up.
Fingerprint unlock does not turn on by itself. ColorOS treats the safe as its own protected space, so the fingerprint sensor already used to unlock your phone has to be linked to the vault separately before it works there too.
To enable it, go to Settings ➔ Password & biometrics ➔ Fingerprint ➔ Use fingerprint for, then switch on the option next to Private Safe. After that, placing a registered finger on the sensor opens the vault directly, without typing a password or pattern.
Turn the same toggle off again if you hand your phone to someone else for a while, or if a sensor with low accuracy keeps producing failed or false unlock attempts. Keep the password or pattern active as a fallback either way, since a fingerprint alone will not get you back in if the sensor fails or changes after a repair.
