Limit Connected Devices on Personal Hotspot auf Oppo
Oppo phones running Coloros cap Personal hotspot connections at ten devices by default. Every laptop, tablet, or phone beyond that number gets rejected until someone disconnects.
The limit exists to protect hotspot performance. More connected devices mean more bandwidth split between them, which slows downloads and video calls for everyone on the shared network.
You control this value in the hotspot settings, not in the general WLAN menu. Open Tap on Settings ➔ Tap on Connection & sharing ➔ Tap on Personal hotspot ➔ Tap on Connection management ➔ Tap on Maximum allowed connections ➔ Choose an Option and pick the number that fits your situation.
Lower the limit if you notice lag while streaming or gaming through the hotspot and want to reserve bandwidth for one or two priority devices. Raise it if you regularly share your connection with a family or a small group and hit the ten-device wall.
Reducing the maximum does not disconnect devices already online above the new limit automatically; it only blocks new connections once the cap is reached. If speed problems persist after adjusting the limit, check whether mobile data throttling or a weak carrier signal is the real bottleneck instead.
