Turn Location (GPS) On or Off auf Oppo
Location access on Oppo phones running ColorOS controls GPS, Wi-Fi based positioning, and network location together. Many system functions rely on it directly. Smart Lock needs a trusted location to keep your phone unlocked, and Find My Mobile cannot show your device on a map without it.
When location is turned off system-wide, every app loses access at once, even if that individual app has permission granted. This is different from disabling location for a single app, which only blocks that one app while GPS stays available for everything else.
To change the system-wide setting, go to Tap on Settings ➔ Tap on Location ➔ Enable or disable Location. The toggle at the top of this screen switches GPS on or off for the entire phone.
Keep location on if you use navigation, weather widgets, or Smart Lock regularly. Turning it off saves some battery, but the effect is usually small compared to display brightness or background apps.
If only one app behaves oddly, check that app's own permission first instead of the system toggle. That avoids losing location for apps you actually need.
