Turn Notification Badges On or Off Per App auf Oppo
On Oppo phones, notification badges are managed per app rather than through one global switch. If a specific app never shows its dot on the home screen, the badge for that app has likely been switched off inside its own notification settings, not in a general system menu.
ColorOS represents unread notifications as a small dot on the app icon rather than a number. Some older ColorOS versions only ever supported this dot style and never added a numeric count, so seeing no number is expected behavior, not a bug.
Where to enable or disable the Badge
Open Tap on Settings ➔ Tap on App management ➔ Tap on App list ➔ Choose an App ➔ Tap on Manage notifications ➔ Tap on Badge ➔ Enable or disable Badge. This path controls the badge for exactly one app, so repeat it for every app you want to adjust.
Disabling the badge does not silence the app. Notifications still arrive in the notification shade and, if enabled, still trigger sound or vibration. The badge only removes the visual dot on the home screen icon.
If notifications are missing entirely, not just the badge dot, the cause usually sits in the app permission settings or battery optimization, not in the Badge toggle described here.
