Allow or Deny Apps to Modify System Settings auf Oppo
When an app requests permission to modify system settings, it is asking to change things like ringtone, screen brightness, wallpaper, or notification sounds on its own. This is separate from sensitive permissions like lock screen access or password changes, but ColorOS treats it as a special access right and hides it away from the main permission list.
Apps that automate tasks, such as alarm clocks, launchers, or ringtone managers, often need this permission to work as intended. If it is missing, the app may throw an error or simply fail to apply the change without any warning.
You manage this setting under special app access rather than the regular app permissions screen. Go to Tap on Settings ➔ Tap on App management ➔ Tap on Special app access ➔ Tap on Modify system settings ➔ Choose an App ➔ Enable or disable Allow system setting modification.
Only grant this permission to apps you trust and that clearly need it for a feature you use. Denying it for apps that do not need it has no downside, since it only blocks automated system tweaks, not core app functions.
