Remove an App Shortcut from the Home Screen auf Oppo
On Oppo phones, a Home screen icon can mean two different things. If the App Drawer is turned on, the icon is only a shortcut and the app itself still lives in the drawer. If the App Drawer is turned off, every icon on the Home screen is the app, so removing it also uninstalls the app.
Check the App Drawer setting before you remove anything. With it enabled, Tap and hold an App icon ➔ Tap on Remove only clears the icon from the Home screen. The app keeps running and stays available in the drawer.
Without the App Drawer, the same tap-and-hold action leads to an uninstall prompt instead, because there is no separate icon layer to remove. If you only want a cleaner Home screen and still need the app, enable the App Drawer first.
If an icon reappears right after you remove it, a folder or a widget panel might still hold a reference to it. Check nearby folders and widget pages before assuming the removal did not work.
