Remove a Folder from the Home Screen auf Oppo
On Oppo phones running Coloros, folders on the home screen behave like small containers. Deleting one is not always straightforward, because the system offers two distinct actions with very different results.
Press and hold a folder until the action menu appears. From there you choose between two options: Tap and hold a Folder ➔ Remove deletes the folder together with every app icon stored inside it, while Tap and hold a Folder ➔ Dismiss only breaks up the folder and moves the contained apps individually back onto your home screen.
This distinction matters most when a folder holds apps you still use daily. Choosing Remove by mistake wipes out shortcuts to those apps from the home screen, even though the apps themselves remain installed and can be reopened from the app drawer.
Dismiss is the safer choice whenever you only want to clean up the folder structure without losing quick access to any app. Use Remove only when you are certain none of the enclosed apps need a home screen shortcut anymore.
If a folder keeps reappearing after you remove it, check whether it was recreated automatically by an app grouping feature rather than manually deleted.
