Restart the Smartphone auf Oppo
A restart clears the RAM and closes every background process, which is why it fixes many small glitches on ColorOS: apps that freeze, notifications that stop arriving, or a UI that feels sluggish after days of uptime. It does not delete photos, apps, or settings, so it is safe to use whenever performance drops.
How to restart
Press and hold the Power button ➔ Drag the Button upwards ➔ Release the Button to restart. The power menu appears after a short hold, and dragging the restart control up and letting go triggers the reboot immediately.
When a restart is not enough
If the screen is completely frozen and the power menu will not open at all, a normal restart will not help. In that case a force restart, done by holding the Power button and the Volume down button together for several seconds, cuts power directly and reboots the device.
If problems return quickly after every restart, the cause is usually a specific app or a full storage drive rather than temporary memory buildup. Clearing that app's cache or freeing up storage solves the issue more permanently than repeated reboots.
