Oppo: Send a Contact's Calls Straight to Voicemail

When one particular contact keeps calling at the wrong moment, muting your whole phone or blocking them outright feels like overkill. Oppo lets you route calls from just that contact directly to voicemail, so your phone stays quiet only for them while everyone else still gets through. The call never rings on your device and the caller hears your voicemail greeting right away, with no delay or extra rings.

Send a Contact's Calls Straight to Voicemail auf Oppo

Routing a contact straight to voicemail relies on a per-contact call setting inside your Oppo phone app, not the general Do Not Disturb or blocking tools. Once enabled, incoming calls from that person are intercepted before your phone rings and forwarded to voicemail automatically. Nothing changes for any other contact, and the person you have routed does not see any indication that they were redirected.

This is useful when you expect repeated calls from someone during a meeting, while traveling, or during focused work, but you still want their message recorded rather than missed entirely. It differs from blocking, since the contact can still reach you by leaving a voicemail, and from silencing, since the call is diverted rather than just muted on your end.

To set it up, open Tap on ContactsChoose a ContactOpen the MenuTap on Route to voicemail. The setting applies immediately and stays active until you switch it off the same way.

If you only want to pause calls temporarily without changing this per-contact setting, a scheduled Do Not Disturb mode is usually the better fit, since it covers all contacts at once instead of a single person.

Frequently asked questions

No. The call is routed silently, so it looks like a normal, unanswered call on their end, and no notification is sent to them.
