Oppo: Search for a Word in a Conversation

Scrolling through a long chat history just to find one message wastes minutes, especially in group chats with hundreds of texts. Oppo's Messages app has a search function that works inside a single conversation, not just across your whole inbox. Every match gets highlighted so you can jump straight to the message you need.

Search for a Word in a Conversation auf Oppo

Long conversations in the Oppo Messages app quickly pile up hundreds of texts, links, and shared photos. Scrolling manually to find one word or a specific message is slow and error-prone, especially in group chats or long-running chats with a partner or colleague.

Oppo's Messages app solves this with an in-conversation search instead of a global inbox search. Open the app and tap Messages, then Choose a Conversation you want to search inside.

Tap on Search, then Enter a Keyword and tap Search. Every message containing that word gets highlighted in color, so results stand out from the rest of the chat.

Use Tap the Virtual arrows to browse the results to move backward and forward between matches without scrolling. This works for single words, short phrases, and even parts of longer texts.

This in-conversation search only looks inside the chat you opened. If you cannot remember which contact sent the message, use the general search field on the main Messages screen instead, since it searches across all conversations at once.
