Turn Usage & Diagnostics On or Off auf Oppo
ColorOS runs a background service that forwards device usage and diagnostic data to Google and its partners whenever the Usage & diagnostics option is enabled. This service was set up as an opt-in contribution to Android development, not as a required system function, so it can be switched off without breaking any core feature.
The setting lives inside the privacy menu rather than the general settings, which is why most people never notice it is active. To reach it, open Settings ➔ Privacy ➔ Advanced ➔ Usage & diagnostics and use the toggle to enable or disable the sharing.
Once disabled, your phone stops sending crash logs, app usage patterns and performance metrics tied to your device. This has no effect on app functionality, notifications or the Play Store, since it only controls diagnostic reporting.
If you are trying to reduce mobile data usage or background network activity instead, this toggle helps only marginally, since the data packets involved are small. For a noticeable data or battery saving, check background app restrictions separately.
Re-enabling the option later restores the data sharing immediately, with no restart required.
