Send an MMS Message auf Oppo
On Android, there is no separate MMS app. Instead, the standard Messages app switches a text message into MMS format automatically the moment you attach a photo, video, contact card, or other media file.
This matters because MMS behaves differently from SMS: it uses mobile data or your carrier MMS gateway instead of the regular text channel, it has file size limits, and some carriers apply separate charges. If a message with an attachment fails to send while plain text messages work fine, the MMS conversion is usually the reason.
Menu path to send an MMS on Oppo
To attach a file and send it as MMS, follow this path in the Messages app:
Tap on Messages ➔ Choose a Conversation or tap on Start chat ➔ Choose a Contact ➔ Type a Text message ➔ Tap on Attachments ➔ Choose an Archive ➔ Tap on Send
You can type text first and add the attachment after, or add the file before writing anything. Either way, the app relabels the message as MMS once a file is attached.
If your carrier does not support MMS on your plan, the message may fail to send even though the steps are correct. In that case, sending the file through a messaging app that uses internet data instead is usually the faster fix.
