Set a Data Limit for the Personal Hotspot auf Oppo
The personal hotspot on your Oppo phone forwards its mobile data connection to other devices over Wi-Fi. Every laptop, tablet or second phone connected to it draws from the same data plan as your phone.
Without a cap, that shared connection keeps running until you turn it off manually, even after you have used up any bundled allowance. Coloros lets you set a fixed data restriction so the hotspot switches itself off once the limit is hit, protecting you from unexpected charges.
To set it up, go to Tap on Settings ➔ Tap on Connection & sharing ➔ Tap on Personal hotspot ➔ Tap on Connection management ➔ Tap on Data restriction ➔ Choose an Option.
Pick a value that matches what is left on your plan for the current period. Once connected devices reach that amount, the hotspot deactivates and stops sharing data until you turn it back on and adjust or remove the limit.
If you have an unlimited data plan, this restriction is optional and mainly useful to prevent other people using your hotspot from consuming data you did not intend to share. If you need the hotspot to stay on regardless of usage, choose the option that disables the restriction instead.
