Hide and Show Apps on the Home Screen auf Oppo
Coloros can remove selected apps from the home screen and app drawer, then lock them behind a password. This is meant for apps you do not want visible to anyone who picks up your phone, such as messaging or banking apps.
The setting is managed here: Tap on Settings ➤ Tap on Privacy ➤ Tap on Hide apps ➤ Turn On/Off the desired Apps. The first time you hide an app, Coloros asks you to set a password.
Once an app is hidden, its icon disappears completely from the app drawer. It will not launch from a normal tap, and it will not show up in recent apps or search results either.
To open a hidden app again, dial the password you set on the regular keypad of the Phone app. This opens a hidden panel listing every app you switched off, from where you can launch it or turn visibility back on.
If you only want to stop notifications from showing content on the lock screen, app hiding is the wrong tool. That is handled separately through notification settings for each app, and it does not remove the icon from the home screen.
