Show or Hide Birthdays in Calendar auf Oppo
Birthdays only appear in the calendar app if two conditions are met. First, the contact with the birthday date must be saved in a Google account linked to the phone. Second, the birthday layer inside the calendar settings has to be switched on.
Coloros manages this layer separately from the contacts themselves, so a contact can have a stored birthday and still stay invisible in the calendar view if the toggle is off.
Where to find the birthday toggle
Open the path Tap on Calendar ➔ Open the Menu ➔ Tap on Settings ➔ Tap on Birthdays ➔ Enable or disable Contacts. Turning this switch on pulls birthday data from every linked Google account and displays it as a recurring yearly event.
Turning it off hides all birthday entries at once, without deleting any contact data. This is useful if you use a separate app for reminders and want a cleaner calendar view.
If a birthday is missing right after enabling the toggle, give the sync a few minutes. The calendar app pulls data from Google in the background and does not always update instantly, especially after adding a new contact or changing an existing birthday.
If birthdays still do not show up after waiting, check that the contact is actually saved under the Google account and not only locally on the device, since local-only contacts are not included in this sync.
