Oppo: Turn App Drawer Suggestions On or Off

If the App Drawer on your Oppo phone keeps showing a row of suggested apps at the top, that bar is a default feature tied to your most-used apps. Some people find it useful, others just want a clean list without extra recommendations. The suggestion bar can be switched off without affecting how the rest of the App Drawer works.

App Drawer Suggestions: Turn On or Off auf Oppo

The App Drawer on Oppo phones running Coloros can show a row of suggested apps above the regular app list. This bar highlights apps you open frequently, based on usage patterns tracked by the system.

Some users prefer a plain App Drawer without extra suggestions, especially if the bar pushes the actual app grid down or shows apps they do not want highlighted. Turning the suggestions off does not remove or hide any installed apps, it only disables the recommendation row itself.

Where to find the setting

Open SettingsHome screen, Lock screen & Always-On-Display ➔ then enable or disable Show app suggestions.

The toggle applies system-wide, so switching it off removes the bar from the App Drawer immediately without a restart. If you later want the suggestions back, the same menu path lets you re-enable them at any point.

This setting only affects the App Drawer overview. It has no effect on the home screen layout, folders, or app search results.

Frequently asked questions

No. Disabling Show app suggestions only removes the recommendation bar in the App Drawer. All installed apps stay exactly where they are.
