Set Up Wi-Fi Tethering as a Repeater auf Oppo
When your router signal drops off in certain rooms, your Oppo phone can fill the gap. Wi-Fi Tethering takes an existing WLAN connection on the phone and shares it with other devices nearby, effectively turning the phone into a small repeater.
You reach this function through Settings ➔ Other Wireless Connections ➔ Wi-Fi Tethering. From there you can enable or disable the feature with a single toggle.
By default, Wi-Fi Tethering uses a generated network name and password so you can connect immediately without any extra setup. If you prefer, you can change both values to something easier to remember, especially useful if several people need to join the shared network.
Keep in mind that your phone must stay connected to the original WLAN network for tethering to work at all. If that connection drops, every device relying on the repeater loses internet access too.
This method is best for short-term fixes, like getting a laptop or tablet online in a dead zone for a few hours. For a permanent solution to weak WLAN coverage, a dedicated router or mesh extender is the more reliable option, since phone repeaters use battery and can slow down under heavy load.
