Oppo: Turn Vibration for Incoming Calls On or Off

Every incoming call makes your Oppo phone buzz, even when you already picked a ringtone you like. If that vibration feels distracting, unnecessary at your desk, or drains the battery faster during calls, the toggle for it lives inside your sound settings, not in a separate ringtone menu.

Turn Call Vibration On or Off auf Oppo

On Oppo phones running Coloros, incoming calls trigger vibration by default alongside the ringtone. This behavior comes from a dedicated toggle inside the sound settings, separate from the general silent or vibrate mode you might already use for notifications.

If your phone buzzes every time someone calls and you only want the ringtone, or the opposite, you want vibration without changing your ringtone volume, you can adjust this independently. It matters for battery habits too: constant vibration motor use during longer calls adds up over a day of heavy phone use.

Where to find the toggle

Go to SettingsSound & vibration ➔ and look for Vibrate on ring. Switch it on to bring back vibration during calls, or switch it off if you only want the ringtone playing.

This setting only affects incoming calls. It does not change vibration behavior for app notifications, alarms, or keyboard feedback, those are controlled by their own separate options in the same sound settings area.

If your phone still is not vibrating after enabling this, check that your ringer volume is not muted and that the phone is not in a silent or Do Not Disturb profile, since those can override the vibration setting for calls.

Frequently asked questions

No. Vibrate on ring only controls incoming call behavior. Notification vibration for messages and apps is managed under a separate option in SettingsSound & vibration.
